Who we help
When operating complexity outgrows the supply-chain system.
SCP is designed first for Great Lakes industrial-equipment and contract-manufacturing companies with real products, suppliers, facilities, customer commitments, and growth requirements—but without the senior operating discipline, process stability, data confidence, or system integration needed to execute reliably.
Medical-device and regulated-equipment manufacturers are a controlled secondary fit when the work can exclude quality-system, certification, product-compliance, clinical, and regulatory-authority responsibilities.
The company profile
SCP is most relevant when the organization has moved beyond an informal operating model but is not ready—or does not need—to build a permanent enterprise-size supply-chain team and technology stack before regaining control.
Common conditions include:
- multiple products, suppliers, sites, or customer commitments;
- spreadsheets and disconnected systems carrying critical operating logic;
- unclear ownership across planning, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, finance, and suppliers;
- limited senior supply-chain capacity relative to operational complexity;
- a material transition that creates a decision window.
Fit by operating trigger
NPI or production ramp
The company is moving from design, prototype, or low-volume builds into repeatable production, and the decisions, data, suppliers, and ownership have not matured at the same rate.
Supplier failure or continuity risk
Shortages, backorders, quality or readiness issues, long-lead exposure, or unstable commitments threaten delivery and consume management attention.
Inventory, cash, and purchasing control
The company cannot reliably explain purchase commitments, lead times, inventory exposure, approval authority, or the cash implications of supply decisions.
Growth and operating transition
A new facility, customer, acquisition, transfer, insourcing decision, or major product change has created unclear responsibilities and inconsistent operating routines.
ERP, MRP, BOM, or data readiness
The technology exists or is changing, but the process, master-data rules, system ownership, and decision cadence are not dependable.
Executive ownership matters
SCP works best when an executive buyer and operating champion are willing to expose uncertainty, resolve decision rights, provide bounded access to relevant people and approved evidence, and assign owners to the resulting roadmap.
The engagement is more likely to fit when:
- the issue has an executive consequence;
- timing and decision ownership are visible;
- the initial scope can be bounded;
- the client will disclose known data limitations and contradictions;
- leaders are prepared to make operating decisions rather than only receive a report.
Explicit boundaries
SCP is not positioned as:
- a general staffing firm;
- a full custom ERP vendor;
- a compliance certifier;
- legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory counsel;
- a commodity broker;
- a source of free operational studies;
- unlimited emergency coverage.
Requests that require uncontrolled client data, hidden conflicts, unsupported guarantees, unbounded rescue scope, or authority SCP does not possess do not proceed.
Start with a bounded fit conversation
Share the operating trigger, executive consequence, timing, and decision context without sending confidential information. SCP will determine whether a paid Assessment is a credible next step.
